Step 1: Getting to Know SmartUp School
We invite you for a tour of our school! You'll have the opportunity to learn about our philosophy, curriculum, teachers, and learning spaces. To schedule a tour, please contact us by phone: +7 (707) 704-77-75 or email info@su.school.

Step 2: Application Submission
If after the tour you decide that SmartUp School is right for your child, you'll need to complete an admission application. The application form can be obtained from the school administrator.

Step 3: Document Submission
The following documents must be attached to the application:

• Copy of the child's birth certificate
• Copies of parents' ID cards
• Child's health documents (health passport, form 026/у-2017, epidemiological clearance certificate)
• Two 3×4 cm photographs of the child

For non-residents of Kazakhstan, the following are also required:

• Copy of residence permit or temporary registration card
• Confirmation of registration with tax authorities

Step 4: Testing
To determine the child's academic preparation level, testing is conducted in core subjects. Testing is carried out in a comfortable environment and aims to identify the child's individual characteristics.

Step 5: Parent Interview
We conduct interviews with parents to better understand your expectations of the educational process and ensure that our values and approaches align.

Step 6: Contract Signing
After successful completion of all stages, we sign an educational service agreement.

Step 7: Payment
After signing the contract, admission and organizational fees must be paid.

General documents (for all applicants):

• Copy of the child's birth certificate.
• Copies of the parents' (or legal guardians') ID cards.
• The child's medical record (Form 026/у-2017).
• The child's health passport (with test results: scraping, blood, urine).
• Certificate of the epidemiological environment at the time of arrival.
• Two 3x4 cm photographs of the child.
• Application for the child's admission to school (can be filled out at the school).
• The child's personal file (if any).
• Original certificates of completion of each grade (if any).

Additional documents (for non-residents of Kazakhstan):

• A copy of the residence permit or temporary registration card in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Confirmation of registration with the tax authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Important information:

• All documents must be provided in printed form.
• Documents issued outside the Republic of Kazakhstan must be legalized or apostilled (depending on international agreements between countries) and translated into Kazakh or Russian. The translation must be notarized.
• The school administration reserves the right to request additional documents if necessary.

At SmartUp School, we understand the importance of balance between studies, rest, and development. Our daily schedule is designed to maximize time effectively, taking into account children's age-specific needs while creating a comfortable learning environment.

School Operating Hours:
The school is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A free after-school group operates until 6:00 PM.

Daily Schedule (example):
The daily schedule may vary slightly depending on the grade level and additional activities schedule. More detailed information can be obtained from the class teacher.

Daily Schedule Features:

• Morning and Evening Circle: Each day begins with a morning circle where children share their news, discuss plans for the day, and create a positive mindset. At the end of the day, students gather in a circle to summarize the day and express gratitude to friends and adults.
• Breaks and Rest: Regular breaks and rest periods help children restore energy and maintain focus on learning.
• Flexibility: We strive for flexibility in the daily schedule, considering individual student needs.

We follow the school holiday calendar approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with slight modifications based on our educational program specifics. Final holiday dates for each academic year are published in advance.

Tentative Holiday Schedule for 2024-2025 Academic Year:

• Autumn Break: 7 days (October 28 to November 3, inclusive)
• Winter Break: 10 days (December 30 to January 8, inclusive)
• Spring Break: 11 days (March 21 to March 31, inclusive)
• Summer Break: 98 days (May 26 to August 31, inclusive)

Additional Break for Grades 0-1: 7 days (February 3 to February 9, inclusive)

Important information:

• Vacation dates may be adjusted in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan or internal decisions of the school.
• We ask parents to follow the announcements on the website and information from class teachers about the exact dates of the vacations.

We may also offer additional holiday programs and activities for children. Information about this will be published separately.

Security Measures at SmartUp School:

• Video Surveillance System: The entire territory and premises of the school are under 24/7 video surveillance.
• Security and Fire Alarm System: The school is equipped with a modern security and fire alarm system connected to a centralized monitoring station.
• Access Control: Entry to the school building is controlled through an access control system (intercom). Children are only allowed to leave school premises when accompanied by adults.
• Seismic Drills: We regularly conduct evacuation drills for earthquakes and other emergency situations for both staff and students.
• Two-way Radios: School staff are equipped with two-way radios for immediate communication and coordination when necessary.
• Anti-terrorism Security Certificate: The school premises hold an "Anti-terrorism Security Certificate for Objects Vulnerable to Terrorist Threats" in accordance with the joint order of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

We continuously work on improving our security system and take all necessary measures to protect our students.

At SmartUp School, we strive to create a friendly, respectful, and safe atmosphere that promotes learning and development for every child. To achieve this, we have established the following rules of conduct:

General Rules:

• Respect: We expect all students to treat each other, teachers, and school staff with respect.
• Punctuality: It is important to arrive to class on time.
• Responsibility: Each student is responsible for their own actions and academic performance.
• Order: Students must maintain order in the classroom, school, and surrounding areas.
• Safety: Follow the safety rules established at school.
• Care of Property: Take care of school property.
• Electronic Devices: The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices during lessons is governed by separate regulations.
• Healthy Lifestyle: We promote a healthy lifestyle and expect students to follow it.

Self-Governance at SmartUp School:

• Selecting of Rulers and Judges: Students elect their own representatives who help monitor rule compliance and resolve conflicts.
• Establishing Laws and Accountability: Students participate in creating classroom rules and determining consequences for breaking them.
• Conflict Resolution and Courts: Students learn to resolve conflicts peacefully using negotiation and mediation skills.

We believe that following these rules will help create a comfortable and productive environment for the study and development of each child.

At SmartUp school we teach children how to resolve conflicts constructively. We believe that every conflict is an opportunity to learn and develop important social skills.

Algorithm of actions when a conflict arises:

• Attempt at independent resolution: Children are encouraged to resolve conflicts peacefully on their own, using negotiation and compromise skills.
• Appeal to Rulers and Judges: If children are unable to resolve the conflict on their own, they can appeal to their chosen Rulers and Judges.
• Conflict resolution with adult participation: If the situation requires adult intervention, teachers or curators are involved in resolving the conflict.
• Mediation: In some cases, mediation may be used—a process in which a neutral party helps the parties to the conflict find a mutually acceptable solution.

Self-government system in conflict resolution:
At SmartUp school, students play an active role in conflict resolution thanks to the self-management system. This allows them to develop:

• Communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to listen and understand others.
• Empathy and tolerance.
• Critical thinking and decision making skills.

We strive to ensure that every conflict is resolved fairly and constructively, taking into account the interests of all parties.
